- Dr Stanistreet has moved out of State – his patients should call our office and we can direct them to UR Practices to transfer to.
Dear Valued Patient,
We are pleased to announce that Dr Kindel, Dr McLanahan, Dr Smith and Dr Stanistreet are joining UR Medicine Primary Care on September 1, 2018. As many of you have previously heard, Dr Cowell will officially retire as of August 31, 2018 and her patient’s will now be followed by UR Medicine Primary Care – N Greece office. This has been a difficult decision that has come with much deliberation, but we have concluded that this is the right thing to do in this rapidly changing healthcare environment. We believe joining the UR Medicine Primary Care team will greatly benefit all our patients. UR Medicine is part of the University of Rochester, which is one of the nation’s top academic medical centers, with top notch specialty physicians and clinical services throughout our region.
Please be assured that this new affiliation will allow you to continue to receive the same patient centered, compassionate and personalized care to which you are accustomed. We will continue to see you at our current location, and we will have the same phone number. Moreover, the same care team that you have come to know over the years will also remain with us. Our practice name will now be: UR Medicine Primary Care – Ridgewood.
It has been our honor and privilege caring for our patients as Ridgewood Med-Peds, LLP. We are delighted by this new affiliation with UR Medicine Primary Care and we are confident that by joining UR Medicine, you will continue to receive the same high-quality care you have always received at Ridgewood Med-Peds.
We are working very closely with UR Medicine to ensure a smooth transition. We remain mindful that these types of transitions are rarely without bumps in the road. It is imperative that you contact your health insurance to update your PCP if your insurance requires you to have your PCP (Primary Care Physician) listed on your policy. While we remain as your PCP, our tax ID will change to UR Medicine’s (16-1529781) so you may need to update this. We are grateful for your patience and understanding as we move through this transition.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office, (585) 225-1700, and our care team will assist you. If you are receiving primary care services elsewhere, or have otherwise received this letter in error, please alert our office so our records can be updated.
We hope you will be pleased with these changes and the opportunity to strengthen our ability to be partners in your health.
